Short answers about what Calendario does and how it handles your calendar. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are the authoritative versions where the two differ.
What is Calendario?
A personal AI calendar assistant. You ask about your schedule in plain language — what's on today, how tomorrow looks, what to do next — and it answers from your Google Calendar. You can also tell it to create, reschedule, rename, or cancel events.
Can I sign up?
Yes — sign in with any Google account. Your calendar connection is stored under a key specific to your own account, isolated from every other user's; signing in never reads or touches anyone else's data.
What can it see in my calendar?
Calendario asks Google for two permissions, and no more:
- Read access to events on calendars you can already see. This covers every question you can ask it about your schedule.
- Write access limited to calendars the app itself created. Google enforces this boundary, not just Calendario's own code.
It deliberately does not request full read/write over your whole account. See What Calendario accesses for the exact scope names.
Can it delete or change my existing events?
No. Events Calendario creates go in a separate calendar named Calendario, and it can only modify or delete events it created there. The rest of your calendar is untouchable to it — that limit comes from the permissions Google grants, so it holds even if the app has a bug.
Who else sees my data?
Three providers, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising: Google is the source of the calendar data; Vercel hosts the app and stores the authorization tokens; and Cohere receives the text you type into the chat box in order to work out what you're asking for.
Worth being aware of: if a message you type mentions details of an event, that text goes to Cohere as part of your message. Your calendar data is not otherwise sent there. The Privacy Policy has the full breakdown.
How do I disconnect it?
In Calendario, go to Settings → Disconnect & delete data. That hands your stored refresh token back to Google's revocation endpoint and then deletes it, and your session, from the datastore — a self-service equivalent of the option below, done from inside the app.
You can also revoke Calendario's access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which takes effect immediately and invalidates the stored tokens wherever they are, whether or not you use the in-app option first.
What happens to events it already created?
They stay on your calendar and are yours to keep or delete. Removing the app's access does not remove them.
Will it always get my requests right?
No. Calendario interprets what you type using a language model, and that interpretation can be wrong — particularly for ambiguous dates or event names. It asks you to confirm before creating, changing, or cancelling anything, so read those confirmations rather than assuming. Check the result on your calendar when something matters.
Does it cost anything?
No. It is a personal project, offered as-is with no guarantee of availability, and it may change or be shut off at any time.
